Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona, is the largest community college in the United States. It was first established as a branch of Phoenix College in 1963 and was granted independent status two years later. The school has over 27,000 students, the majority of whom are between 18 and 24 years old. Female students take up 54% while the male students account for 46%.
