Tuition & Scholarship

Currently, the tuition details for 2011 to 2012 academic year can be viewed on continuetolearn.uiowa.edu. Once you are officially enrolled into University of Iowa online program, you can see your assessed tuition and mandatory fees on ISIS (Iowa student information services) with your HawkID and password. The tuition of your online education is determined by the program and the semester hours you enroll into.

Following are University of Iowa tuition fees for students attending online courses only in 2011 to 2012 academic year.

Workshops (per credit hour)

Undergraduate: $270
Graduate: $424

College of Public Health (per credit hour)

Undergraduate: $346
Graduate (except MPH & MHA): $500
Master of Pubic Health: $716
Master of Health Administration: $725

Chances are that you are financially strapped to afford the tuition. University of Iowa’s Continuing Education Division provides limited scholarship opportunities towards the tuition for students enrolling into online courses. To be qualified for this award, the one must be admitted by either program of the Bachelor of Applied Studies or Bachelor of Liberal Studies. The application deadlines are respectively July 1, December 1 and April 1.

Please Note that Iowa residents with satisfactory academic performances enjoy the priority for scholarship awards.

How to Get Your Online Study Started?

Once you submit $40 application fee and your application is accepted, you will be enrolled into University of Iowa online program. Upon your enrollment, you will receive your HawkID and password. To get detailed intro to the course you selected, you can visit Course Overview Page to see specific information on your course, such as instructor info, course accessing components, additional requirements and related materials. As Course Overview Page is updated frequently, you are encouraged to visit it by the start of your online class.

To open the Course Overview Page for the course you enroll into, you need to:

1. Login onto ISIS with your HawkID and password

2. Select Student Records, then Class Schedule

3. Click the hotlink of the course title, which will lead you to the course details

4. Click the link “additional course details and information on accessing this distance education course”
